Branch Cat Foster Carers

Our branch foster carers are a very important part of the branch, having an animal in foster care allows us to gain an understanding of how an animal behaves in a home environment and reduces stress whilst in our care. We will cover costs such as vet bills as and when they arise - experience of caring for cats would be ideal for this role. We would also ask that you keep us updated on the animal’s progress and send us some wording and pictures that we can use on our website and pet search services. Please fill out our volunteer form if you would like to apply for this role.

Here’s a few words sent in by one of our regular foster carers..

‘I have fostered quite a few cats for the branch and I do find it very rewarding. The branch covers any vet bills as they happen and I’m more than happy to take the cats along to the vets for check-ups or boosters etc. It’s surprising how quickly you get attached to the animal you are looking after and on many occasions I have had a little tear in my eye when I have waved them off to their new homes. It gives me great pleasure to see how the cats come along when in foster care, I remember one cat I was looking after took residence behind my sofa for the first few days but in the end he turned into the softest, attention seeking cat I’ve ever met! I love seeing the pictures of them settled into their new homes and being able to feel that I’ve played some part in that feels fantastic.’
